Southern California Chapter
Our Southern California (SC) Chapter is led by students at the University of Southern California. These students are studying a variety of topics, from global health to classics, and have a variety of professional aspirations. These differences have allowed the chapter to engage students across the University and help out with the internal and external operations of our organization. From raising awareness of period poverty in Uganda to finding more writers for our newsletter and volunteers to assist with the organization’s program planning, this chapter is a wonderful example of the dedication and diversity within NJO Foundation Africa’s global volunteer base.

The goal of the SC chapter is to engage donors and volunteers both on and surrounding the campus. The current focuses of this chapter are on addressing period poverty, gender inequities and educational inequalities in Uganda. With recognition of the limited funds of college students, this chapter aims to utilize its talented volunteers on campus to recruit more volunteers and to raise funds through events such as bake sales and run-a-thons.
